Welcome to St. Michael and All Angels CE VA Primary School's website. Thank you for your interest in our school.

I would like to extend a heartfelt welcome to you and your family to St. Michael and All Angels Church of England Primary School.

Our school is truly a special place, nestled in picturesque surroundings overlooking Lake Burwain and surrounded by fields and woodland. The children themselves describe our school as a place where "everyone feels safe" and "everyone enjoys learning." We are proud to provide a nurturing environment where children flourish academically, socially, emotionally and spiritually.

As an average-sized primary school, we are fortunate to know every child personally. Each child is recognised as a unique individual, valued for who they are, and encouraged to develop their talents, interests and strengths. We believe that every child deserves to feel a strong sense of belonging and to be celebrated for being themselves. Inclusion is at the heart of everything we do, and we strive to ensure that every member of our school community feels welcomed, respected and supported.

We are very fortunate that our school building is surrounded by beautiful countryside, with extensive grounds that provide rich opportunities for learning and play. These include a large grass playing field with a running track, a spacious playground, a trim-trail park area, an outdoor classroom and a bright, stimulating enclosed area for our EYFS children. We believe that children learn best when they are active, engaged and inspired by their environment.

At St. Michael and All Angels, we are blessed with an exceptional staff team who are dedicated to providing the very best education within a happy, caring and supportive environment. Strong relationships are at the heart of our work, and our staff take the time to get to know every child and family. This enables us to support children as individuals and ensure they feel safe, valued and confident to take on new challenges.

Our team works hard to deliver a broad, balanced and ambitious curriculum that prepares children for the next stage of their education and for life beyond primary school. Alongside this, we offer a wide range of enrichment opportunities designed to engage, excite and inspire. We want our children to develop curiosity, resilience, confidence and a lifelong love of learning. Above all, we want them to enjoy coming to school each day and to leave us with happy memories and strong foundations for the future.

At the heart of our school lies a distinctive Christian vision, deeply rooted in biblical teachings and shared by our dedicated governors and leaders. We are a loving and inclusive community where every person is valued and every opportunity is taken to enable individuals to flourish. We believe that when children and adults feel known, supported and appreciated, they thrive. This commitment extends not only to our pupils but also to our staff, families and wider community.

We understand that choosing the right school for your child is a significant decision, and we would be delighted to welcome you for a personal tour of our facilities. Please feel free to contact the school office to arrange a visit at your convenience.

Additionally, if you require paper copies of any information available on our website, our friendly office staff will be happy to assist you.

We look forward to sharing more about our wonderful school and to welcoming you and your family into our vibrant, caring and inclusive community.

Warmest regards,

Sara Richardson
