SEND Code of Practice

________________________________________________________________

Our Aim:

Our aim at St Michael and All Angels CE Primary School is to value the individuality of all our children. We are committed to giving each child at our school every opportunity to achieve the highest of standards, to foster a love of learning and enabling the opportunity for every pupil to shine.

This policy helps to ensure that this happens for all the children in our school – regardless of needs, disability, their age, gender, ethnicity, attainment or background.

The whole school community is committed to a collective responsibility for the implementation of our values: honesty, forgiveness, trust, love thankfulness and respect.

School Motto: "Working together we achieve our best, we listen, we learn and we love through Christ."

Our Individual Provision Maps (IPM’s) Explained:

Summary of Video:

In this video, I provide an overview of our Individual Provision Maps (IPMs) for children on the Special Educational Needs Register at Saint Michael and All Angels. I explain how these documents set achievable targets and outline the support provided to help all our children progress, with formal reviews taking place three times a year in collaboration with parents and the child. We also discuss the importance of identifying specific areas of need and the tailored strategies we implement, including universal and targeted support. I encourage parents to engage with us in this process to ensure we are all aligned on the goals for their child.
