Eco-School

Our Eco Code

Reduce, Reuse, Recycle! Remember the 3Rs.

Eat healthy food.

Cars use fuel so walk to school if you can.

You can use both sides of a piece of paper and recycle it when you have finished.

Cartridges and batteries can be recycled.

Look after the environment by picking up litter.

Energy saving light bulbs should be used and remember to turn off lights when you leave a room.

We are very proud to announce that we have been awarded Green Flag status after a lot of hard work by staff, governors, children and parents of the school. Please click on the link above to view our certificate.

We would like to thank all those involved who have helped us reach our ultimate goal.

Mrs Shorrocks, our 'School Gardener', has played and continues to play a big part in the organisation and running of our garden area, which has contributed to our Green Flag status.

Our Garden is flourishing and has been used many times by our children to grow a variety of crops and flowers.

The grassy area near the staff car park has now been completed and we look forward to planting some colourful bulbs and blooms in the spring.

The school has reduced its energy consumption and it is second nature for the children to recycle.

We continue to recycle a variety of things.
